Creating Social Value by means of a good advice (Board)

Last Tuesday, February 16, I had the good fortune and great honor of participating in the first work meeting of the Advisory Council of the Prince of Girona Foundation held at the Palacete Albéniz in Barcelona and presided by Their Royal Highnesses the Prince and Princess of Girona, during which one of the subjects dealt with concerned the initiatives the Foundation is currently working on...

...projects specially chosen and prioritized with the goal of creating social value by providing initiative and support for youth, from among which the following are some highlights:

The 1st Prince of Girona Foundation Forum, the Prince of Girona Excellence Projects "Youth and Initiative", the construction of the "White Paper" on the ability to engage the youth of Spain, in collaboration with ESADE and other first-order international academic institutions, the Social Enterprise Program, together with the GERD Association in Latin America and the Project for cognitive and sensory rehabilitation of people with intellectual disabilities, in collaboration with the University of Girona and the Guttmann Institute.

Among those present at the meeting were the Foundation's president, Antoni Esteve, the director, Arcadi Calzada, the secretary, Enric Brancós, the vice-president of the Foundation and president of the Advisory Council, Jaime Carvajal, and the vice-presidents Gonzalo Rodés and myself an assistant, together with the members of the Advisory Council of the Prince of Girona Foundation, Ferran Adrià, owner of the restaurant "EL BULLI"; Diego del Alcázar, president of the Business Institute and the Vocento Group; Pedro Alonso, director of the International Health Research Center; Jordi Canals, general manager of IESE; Ignasi Carreras, director of the ESADE Institute for Social Innovation; Bonaventura Clotet, director of the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Center; Zaryn Dentzel, creator and CEO of Tuenti; Elisa Durán, deputy general manager of the Caixa Foundation; Manel Estiarte, director of External Relations of the Barcelona Football Club; Anna Maria Geli, Rector of the University of Girona; Emilio Lamo de Espinosa, Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University in Madrid; Carlos Losada, general manager of ESADE; Jaume Pagès, director of Universia; Rolf Tarrach, former president of CSIC; and Jorge Wagensberg, science director of the Caixa Foundation.
